Staytite Rail attended InnoTrans 2026, one of the leading international trade fairs for transport technology. The event brings together organisations and professionals from across the global rail and mobility sector.
Representatives from Staytite Rail, including David Cartledge, Steven Kendell and Karina Mikolajczak, were based on the ROBEL outdoor stand, where they discussed rail fastening, monitoring and maintenance (such as our Intelligent Bolts) with visitors throughout the event.
A key focus was the Staytite Intelligent Bolt, which was showcased as part of ROBEL’s temporary rail clamp solution.
Intelligent Bolts contain a miniature, high-accuracy bolt load sensor embedded within the bolt or stud. The wireless, battery-operated system enables bolt preload to be measured both on-site and remotely. On-site monitoring can be carried out using the LED indicator on the Intelligent Bolt end cap or through wireless connectivity to the Intelligent Bolt App.

The Intelligent Bolts have been specified for use with ROBEL temporary rail clamps, bringing bolt-load monitoring capability to a temporary rail fastening application. This provides a way to verify and monitor the preload of the
bolted connection, rather than relying solely on periodic manual inspection.
ROBEL's rail solutions include temporary clamping systems designed for rail applications. By combining ROBEL's temporary rail clamping technology with Staytite Intelligent Bolts and InterBolt technology, the application brings together rail fastening and bolt-load monitoring, allowing critical fastening data to be checked on-site and remotely.
The event provided an opportunity for Staytite Rail to demonstrate this technology in a real rail application and discuss how monitoring bolt preload can support inspection and maintenance activities.
Staytite Rail would like to thank everyone who visited the ROBEL stand and took the time to speak with the team at InnoTrans 2026.
