At Staytite, we know that what we do is not going to save the planet. But by minimising our carbon footprint, improving our social and ethical practices, and working alongside our suppliers, customers and competitors, we can proudly say we are contributing to a better, and greener future.
As a company with partnerships around the world, we know the importance of making a positive impact along the supply chain, and the consequent knock-on benefits this can have for not only our customers, but our community as well.
Aspiring to lead by example in our industry, we recognise the urgent need to address environmental challenges, reduce our carbon footprint, and promote sustainable practices throughout our operations. Here at Staytite, we want to make a positive impact on our planet and communities.
How We Integrate Sustainability into Every Aspect of Our Business
As an SME, we can harness the advantage of full team engagement in our sustainability initiatives. Monthly meetings with our Sustainability Committee tap into diverse colleague perspectives, offering invaluable insights.
This empowers us to closely examine areas for improvement, from optimising delivery routes to reevaluating conventional processes. Our goal is to integrate sustainability into every facet of our business conduct, maintaining transparency as a core value. We're actively developing a sustainability report for a clear overview of our current status and aspirations.
As a member of Heart of the City, we are extremely proud to be learning from such a forward-thinking enterprise, and we soon hope to be working alongside them to highlight our efforts and hopefully inspire other companies at the start of their sustainability journey. Our Sustainability Goals

As part of our day to day operating as a company we want to achieve an increase our recycling efforts, decrease company travel by 15% by consolidating site visits, reduce printing where possible by 25%, and switch to 100% sustainable packaging.
Our Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
At Staytite, we are proud to align our sustainability efforts with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. These global objectives serve as a valuable framework for guiding meaningful change, both within our business and in the wider community. From a social and environmental perspective, we’ve taken steps to implement initiatives that directly support the following goals:

• Goal 1: No Poverty – We are committed to fair wages and the creation of secure, sustainable employment, helping to reduce inequality and promote financial stability.

• Goal 2: Zero Hunger – Staytite actively supports local food security initiatives, contributing to efforts that ensure access to nutritious food for those in need.

• Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being – We prioritise both the mental and physical well-being of our employees through health-focused programmes, resources, and a supportive work culture.

• Goal 4: Quality Education – Ongoing investment in employee training and development promotes continuous learning and creates opportunities for personal and professional growth.

• Goal 13: Climate Action – We are taking measurable steps to reduce our environmental impact through initiatives such as waste reduction, carbon tracking, and the exploration of low-emission delivery solutions.

• Goal 15: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
The Challenges We Face
As a distributor of thousands of different products, each requiring manufacturing in countries around the world, the biggest challenge we face is ensuring sustainability all the way along our supply chain.
Through supplier surveys, as well as green supplier sourcing for our future business partners, we can help to understand who we want to work with and who will join us in promoting a greener future.
Importing certain products is a carbon heavy activity regarding scope 3 emissions; but through reducing our scopes 1 & 2 emissions, as well as streamlining our purchases, reviewing our suppliers and other carbon offsetting methods, we’re still very much committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2050.
